Best estate sale software: a smiling liquidator compares estate sale software on a laptop and tablet at a dining table with tagged china and brass lamps set out for the sale

Best Estate Sale Software in 2026 (Compared Fairly)

The best estate sale software depends on whether you want one app that runs sale days with checkout, check-in, and reports, or an inventory tool that exports information to a separate register. Companies that want a connected workflow should prioritize sale-day operations, while companies committed to Square, Clover, or another register may prefer an export-first tool.

EstateSail is our product, so this comparison includes an unavoidable point of view. The prices and competitor features below were reviewed as of this post’s publish date, September 26, 2026.

Estate sale software helps professional liquidators manage work such as inventory and pricing, labels, checkout, shopper entry, reporting, and client settlement. For a short category definition, read what is estate sale software.

How we compared

We compared each tool against the operating steps that affect a real sale:

  1. Creating inventory and pricing records during pre-sale setup
  2. Printing or using labels that connect physical items to records
  3. Running checkout during sale days
  4. Managing shopper check-in or entry
  5. Recording sold items and payments
  6. Preparing reports and client settlements
  7. Supporting the devices and registers a crew already uses
  8. Charging a price that fits the company’s sale volume

Built-in checkout is an important dividing line. Some products take an item from photo through label, checkout, and reporting. Others focus on inventory and pricing, then export records to a separate POS. Neither model is automatically right for every company.

We used public vendor pages and app listings available as of September 26, 2026. Pricing can change, and some public pages do not explain every feature or plan limitation. Buyers should verify the exact tier, device requirements, payment processing, team limits, and onboarding process before subscribing. Vendors can send factual corrections to support@estatesail.us.

The table is a shortlist, not a substitute for a workflow test. A tool may advertise inventory and checkout while handling discounts, receipts, multiple registers, refunds, or offline transactions differently from the way your crew works.

EstateSail: inventory, labels, checkout and check-in in one app

EstateSail is designed for a company that wants the work completed during pre-sale setup to carry directly into sale days. For a full product overview, see our estate sale software page.

A crew can photograph items individually or upload photos in bulk. The software generates editable titles, descriptions, pricing, and tags. Items can be organized by room, category, or custom tag. Suggested prices remain subject to human review, which is important for condition, local demand, and higher-value pieces. The full review process is covered in AI pricing for estate sales.

After review, the crew can price and label the item. EstateSail supports bulk label printing over Bluetooth. Each printed label can be a barcoded label with title, price, and room.

At checkout, a cashier can scan with an iPhone camera or Bluetooth scanner. The checkout system supports per-item and sale-wide discounts, reseller tax exemptions, cash tracking, Square card payments, split payments, and automatic email receipts. Carts can be parked and restored on another device. When connectivity is limited, transactions save locally and synchronize when the connection returns.

Companies using several registers should look beyond the basic question of whether a product has a POS. They should test whether carts, discounts, payments, and sold records work across the devices their crew will use. See the guides to estate sale POS and multi-register estate sale checkout for the questions to ask.

For card acceptance, EstateSail uses a Square-led setup. Tap to Pay can be used on a supported iPhone, including iPhone XS or later. An iPad generally uses separate card-reading hardware. The exact setup should be tested before the sale opens. Learn more about Tap to Pay on iPhone.

Check-in is also part of the app. Customers can pre-register, receive confirmation emails, and receive automatic queue numbers by day. The crew can view arrived, pending, and no-show customers. This can help companies that manage controlled entry, appointments, or heavy opening traffic. The estate sale check-in guide explains that workflow in more detail.

EstateSail supports up to eight team members on Per Sale and Pro plans, with six permission levels and the ability to restrict members to specific sales. Reporting includes live sales tracking, PDF and CSV reports that can be filtered by room, category, or tag, and settlement documents. Our guide to the client settlement report shows what a clean one includes.

For EstateSales.net, EstateSail can auto-fill the Info, Details, and Dates sections and upload photos with captions. This is not a live two-way connection. The distinction is explained in the EstateSales.net inventory sync guide.

Pricing as of September 26, 2026 is $99 per sale, $189.99 per month for Pro, or $1,999 per year for Pro. Elite pricing is custom.

ProSale: the long-running web-based all-in-one

ProSale is a web-based estate sale platform covering inventory, labels with barcodes, POS, suggestive pricing, loss control, websites with online stores, and reporting.

Its pricing structure serves several different needs. As of September 26, 2026, Starter is $29 per month and is described as listing-only. Standard is $99 per month, Professional is $199, Business is $299, and Online-Only is $149. Annual billing receives a 10 percent discount. A consignment add-on is $99 per month.

ProSale may suit a company that wants an established web-based system and is willing to choose among several operational tiers. Because the $29 plan is listing-only, a buyer comparing it with full operating systems should confirm which plan includes the specific POS, inventory, website, reporting, and team features the company needs.

During a product walkthrough, ask the vendor to demonstrate the complete path from item creation through label scanning, payment, sold status, reporting, and settlement. That reveals more than comparing feature names alone.

EstateFlow: export-first inventory and pricing

EstateFlow focuses on inventory and pricing that can move into other systems. As of September 26, 2026, it exports to Square, Clover, LiveAuctioneers, and EstateSales.net.

The company describes EstateFlow as POS-agnostic and uses the wording “No live POS connection.” After the sale, it can import Square or Clover sales. This creates a different operating model from software that runs checkout directly.

That model can be a good fit when a company already has a register process that its crew knows and wants to preserve. Clover users in particular may value the ability to export records rather than replace their current checkout system.

EstateFlow lists Google Lens comparisons, iOS and Android support, and electronic signatures on its Pro plan. Pricing as of September 26, 2026 is $79 per month for Starter, $149 for Pro, and custom pricing for Scale. It also lists a 30-day Pro trial.

The practical question is whether you want inventory and the live register in one system. With an export-first workflow, test item identifiers, discounts, tax settings, sold-item imports, corrections, refunds, and settlement reporting before using it on a full sale.

Valuable Pro: credit-based AI inventory and pricing

Valuable Pro uses a different pricing model. As of September 26, 2026, its public App Store listing describes a free core product with unlimited items and unlimited team members. AI features are purchased through credit packs that do not expire, rather than through a subscription.

That structure may appeal to a company that wants to begin inventory and pricing without adding another monthly plan. It also lets occasional users purchase AI capacity according to use.

We did not find checkout or POS features on its public listing. A company considering Valuable Pro should therefore decide how records will move from inventory and pricing into the register, sold-item trail, and final settlement process.

Ask for a live demonstration using your intended workflow. Include photo intake, price review, label production, export options, checkout handoff, sold tracking, and reporting in that test.

Flippd and TagLot: lighter inventory tools for smaller operations

Flippd has a low entry price. As of September 26, 2026, it is free for up to 20 items. Pro costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year, which is presented as $8.33 per month when billed annually.

Its public estate sale page lists photos, barcode scanning, multi-day sold tracking, an online storefront, and settlements. It may fit a smaller operator that wants to organize items and sales without beginning with a larger monthly software plan. Buyers should confirm how payment processing, label production, register use, and sold-item entry work in practice.

TagLot begins with one free sale. Its paid plans are Starter at $59 per month, Pro at $99, and Team at $149 as of September 26, 2026.

TagLot lists offline capture, drafted item details with suggested pricing, QR labels, a markdown schedule, and consignor settlement. It records payments but does not process them. That distinction matters because payment recording and payment processing are separate jobs. A crew will still need a defined method for accepting cards and connecting those payments to the correct sale records.

These products can be reasonable starting points for smaller operations. The decision should still be based on the complete process, not only the monthly price.

Also seen: crosslisting tools and listing sites

Crosslisting tools such as APMTSales and ResaleOS address a related need: moving leftovers or selected inventory into additional resale channels. That can be useful for companies with a substantial post-sale resale operation, but crosslisting is not the same as running check-in, registers, payments, and settlement during an in-person sale.

EstateSales.net is primarily a listing and buyer-discovery channel. Both EstateSail and EstateFlow provide ways to send sale information to EstateSales.net, but the listing site and the operating software perform different jobs.

EstateScale also appears in estate sale software searches. Its pricing was not public as of September 26, 2026, so it is not included as a row with unverified feature cells.

Which one fits your company

Start with the operating model, then compare price.

Choose software with built-in checkout when:

  • You want inventory, labels, payments, and sold records connected
  • Several crew members may operate registers
  • You need parked carts, discounts, receipts, and live reporting
  • You want shopper check-in tied to the same sale system
  • You want fewer handoffs between pre-sale setup and sale days

EstateSail and ProSale are the clearest built-in checkout candidates in this comparison based on their public materials.

Choose an export-first inventory tool when:

  • Your crew is committed to Square or Clover as the register
  • You do not want to replace an established checkout process
  • Android support is required
  • You regularly send inventory to auction or listing channels
  • You are prepared to reconcile sold records after the sale

EstateFlow fits this model and supports both iOS and Android.

Consider a lighter tool when:

  • You run a limited number of sales
  • Your inventory volume is small
  • You want to test digital inventory before changing checkout
  • Free or low-cost entry matters more than an integrated register
  • Your immediate need is pricing, sold tracking, or settlement

Valuable Pro, Flippd, and TagLot each approach this smaller starting point differently.

If your company is still deciding whether software is worth the process change, compare estate sale software versus spreadsheets. The important difference is not simply where item names are stored. It is whether reviewed inventory can move into labels, checkout, sold records, and settlement without repeated manual entry.

Before choosing, run the same sample sale through each finalist:

  1. Add two rooms and several items.
  2. Edit titles, prices, and condition details.
  3. Print or create labels.
  4. Scan items into a checkout cart.
  5. Apply an authorized discount.
  6. Record both cash and card payment paths.
  7. Correct or refund a transaction.
  8. Open a second register if your crew uses one.
  9. Review the sold-item report.
  10. Prepare a sample client settlement.

That test will expose workflow differences that a pricing page cannot show.

Best estate sale software FAQ

What is the best estate sale software for a professional company?

The best choice depends on the company’s operating model. EstateSail is suited to companies wanting inventory, labels, check-in, checkout, reports, and settlements in one app. ProSale offers a broad web-based platform. EstateFlow fits companies that prefer to export inventory to Square, Clover, or another supported destination.

Smaller companies may prefer Valuable Pro, Flippd, or TagLot based on budget and the specific parts of the workflow they need.

Is there estate sale software with built-in checkout?

Yes. EstateSail has built-in checkout with barcode scanning, Square card payments, cash tracking, split payments, discounts, parked carts, and receipts. ProSale also publicly lists POS features.

EstateFlow describes itself as POS-agnostic with “No live POS connection.” TagLot records payments but does not process them. We did not find checkout or POS features on Valuable Pro’s public listing.

How much does estate sale software cost in 2026?

The options compared here begin with free core products or a free first sale. Paid starting prices include $8.33 per month billed annually for Flippd Pro, $29 per month for ProSale’s listing-only Starter plan, $59 per month for TagLot Starter, $79 per month for EstateFlow Starter, and $99 per sale for EstateSail.

Higher published plans in this comparison reach $299 per month, while some vendors offer custom tiers.

Can estate sale software push inventory to EstateSales.net?

Yes, some products can. EstateSail can auto-fill EstateSales.net sale information, details, and dates, then upload photos with captions. It is not a live two-way connection.

EstateFlow also lists EstateSales.net among its export destinations. Ask each vendor exactly which fields, photos, captions, and later edits transfer.

Do I need an Android app?

You need an Android app only if crew members must perform core field work on Android devices. EstateFlow lists iOS and Android support.

EstateSail has an iOS app plus a web dashboard. It does not claim a native Android app. If your company uses mixed devices, test which tasks can be completed through the web dashboard and which require the iOS app before choosing.

Test the workflow before you choose

The right software should match how your crew prepares, opens, checks out shoppers, and settles with the client. If you want to test EstateSail on an upcoming sale:
